Job Title: Part-Time Developmental Aide (Contractor)

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Developmental Aide to support children and youth with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. The successful candidate will implement individualized programming to foster communication, independence, social skills, and behavioral regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to children or youth with developmental or behavioral needs
Implement therapist- or family-designed programming plans
Encourage independence in activities of daily living (ADLs)
Assist with communication development and social integration
Track and report progress, challenges, and goals to the family or supervisor
Collaborate with families, caseworkers, and clinical professionals
Engage clients in age-appropriate community outings or recreational activities
Requirements:
First Aid and CPR certification (mandatory)
Access to reliable personal transportation and valid driver’s license (mandatory)
Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities
Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
Flexible availability (including after school/evening hours)
Ability to work independently and adapt to a variety of client needs
Assets (Not Required):
Post-secondary education or coursework in psychology, social work, education, or a related field

About the Role:
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our collaborative team on a part-time contract basis to provide assessment, intervention, and consultation services for clients across age groups—primarily children and youth in home or community-based settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify functional limitations and occupational needs
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
Support skill-building in fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive functioning
Educate families and caregivers on strategies and techniques to reinforce therapy goals
Provide progress reports, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in interdisciplinary case planning
Travel to client homes or schools in Calgary as required
Requirements:
Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) with a valid practice permit (mandatory)
Completion of an approved Occupational Therapy program and 1000+ hours of supervised clinical practice
Successful completion of the National Occupational Therapy Certification Exam (NOTCE)
Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (mandatory)
First Aid and CPR certification (mandatory)
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Comfortable working independently and adapting to diverse client needs
Assets (Not Required):
Experience working in pediatric or developmental therapy settings
Training in sensory integration, feeding therapy, or assistive technology
Familiarity with school- or community-based service delivery
