Exceptional Employment Pathways

The Exceptional Employment Pathways is an integrated employment support program designed to facilitate meaningful workplace integration for neurodiverse individuals and the employers who hire them. Program participants will undergo a 4 to 5-month workplace readiness training facilitated by a job coach.

This coach will help identify participants’ interests and strengths, enhance their job preparedness skills such as interviewing, and develop strategies for managing stress to maintain long-term employment. The job coach will also be available as a liaison between neurodiverse employees and employers able to assist with accessible workplace practices and on-the-job support.

Learn more about who’s behind the Exceptional Employment Pathways Program below!

My name is Jett Devost and I am a program lead and consultant for Exceptional Abilities. My role is to oversee the development and implementation of the Exceptional Employment Pathways program.

As an autistic individual myself, I feel it is important to support other autistic and/or neurodiverse individuals in finding and maintaining meaningful employment as the process can often be stressful to navigate. I also recognize the importance of holding a strengths-based rather than deficit-based view of neurodiverse individuals.

Therefore, I have been developing this program with the needs of neurodiverse individuals in mind and respecting their autonomy as they move through the program. I also believe that a more inclusive future comes from working with people in positions of power, such as employers, to drive long-term positive change for neurodiverse individuals in society.

Whether you are a neurodiverse individual looking to participate or an employer hoping to know more, please feel free to reach out to my email: jettdevost@gmail.com to learn more about what the Integrated Employment Supports program has to offer!
