Meet The Team

Michelle Siegel
Founder / CEO
My name is Michelle Siegel and I am the founder of Exceptional Abilities Educational Consultation & Tutoring. I am a passionate educator and advocate dedicated to empowering students of all abilities. As a teacher and mother of 3 neurodivergent children, I combine professional expertise with lived experience to create inclusive, strengths-based learning opportunities where every student can thrive.
I have been in the field of education for over 20 years, specializing in special education and working with both neurotypical and neurodiverse individuals. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education, (Kinesiology) with a minor in English, and a Bachelor of Education in 1996, from the University of Lethbridge. My career has covered vast areas within many fields, and in many different educational capacities and settings from grade K-10 classrooms and gymnasiums to specialized educational consulting.
I was an educational consultant with the PREP program in Calgary, working with families who had children with Down Syndrome.
I have continued to grow and adapt Exceptional Abilities because of the gap in education services for the neurodivergent populations. I believe that everyone has an Exceptional Ability and that should be celebrated while growing one’s other abilities that may need more instruction and practice. I do not believe that one’s disability should define them.
I have also served on the Board of Directors with AAFS (Autism Asperger’s Friendship Society) as both a director at large and as the secretary.

To recharge, I enjoy cross-country skiing, hiking, spending time with loved ones, and creating Halloween costumes!

Kristy Hill
Business Advisor
For the past 19 years, I have had the privilege of supporting and advocating for children with diverse exceptionalities. My experience spans group homes, school environments, and private family settings, allowing me to connect with children and families in meaningful ways.
I believe every child is so much more than a diagnosis—they deserve to be seen, valued, and loved for who they are. Just as importantly, parents deserve to feel heard, supported, and understood. Navigating this journey can be challenging, and I feel truly grateful to walk alongside families and offer guidance and care wherever I can.
Outside of my work, I enjoy unplugging and recharging by attending concerts, watching movies, exploring local markets, or spending time in the mountains.

This passion inspired her to study human movement and explore how it can make a difference in the lives of children and families.
Megan has enjoyed working and volunteering in many different settings with children of all abilities, including CP Alberta, and Best Buddies. These experiences have taught her the importance of creating welcoming spaces where kids feel supported, encouraged, and celebrated for who they are.
